First Lady Clay

First Lady Mary Jo Clay - Miracle Central Chuch

First Lady Mary Jo Clay gave her life to Christ at the age of 18 and married her high school sweetheart (Gilbert L. Clay) at age 19. They began their walk together with Christ at Antioch Church of God in Christ, Denver, Colorado in 1980 under the auspice of Bishop Frank E. Johnson. They have three children, a daughter-in-love, and seven wonderful grand-blessings.

She meticulously works along her husband in ministry as she serves the church in various capacities. Currently she is the Women’s Department president, member of the administrative staff and serves as the local Women’s Christian Council President. She is a gifted teacher and prolific writer. These skills have afforded her the opportunity to be a published author for several lessons included in the International Churches of God in Christ's Young Women’s Christian Council (YWCC) Yearly Study Guide, the YWCC Quarterly Newspaper and editing assistant for the revision of the International YWCC Department Handbook. Additionally, she compiled and composed a policy & procedures manual for the Mary Reasby Tutoring Center (MRTC) as well as the membership handbook for Miracle Central Church. In 2015, First Lady Clay was selected one of  "COGIC'S 150 Most Influential Women."

As a third generation member of the Iowa Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ, she is a licensed Evangelist Missionary. Her dedication to God & the Church has allowed her to serve as corresponding secretary to a former Supervisor of the Women's Department, Iowa Jurisdictional YWCC President (18 years), member of the Iowa Jurisdictional Trustee Board, secretary of the Jurisdictional Budgetary Committee and C.H. Mason District Secretary. With a passion for young women's work, First Lady Clay continues to mentor and teach various workshops on the local, jurisdictional and regional levels. A survivor of two strokes, she yet teaches and ministers with urgency and power.  She is an anointed and battle-tested warrior in the Army of the Lord!
